Excellent hardware and software in a compact form, very useful. Prices only a rating of 3 stars in my world because of the almost total lack of support Mac connectivity To combine them you need a Mac serial port (no longer available – pay $ 50 to install an add optional) and MacConnect software (another $ 60-70) at. You only backup for files but not the conversion of files – this is only compatible with Windows. Not with VirtualPC on edge connectivity, but can be used for purposes of converting files, with a little juggling. . . Ranges robust technical support eminently useful. Jason Leverett of PsionUSA (although it seemed Scot, and may even be in the Ministry of Interior of Great Britain or Taiwan or China or anywhere else) – thanks for not solving a problem working hard in 15 seconds with a quick attachment e-mail. Well, there are some good things about this gadget. I think it is very compact and I like the keyboard and the fact that there is a word processor and spreadsheet. But after an infinite amount of time to write to Sonic Blue (the staff was very helpful and does not seem to care about my problem, not all), consulting with friends, etc. about my Diamond Mako, my team (my system OS is Windows 98). BIG ISSUE! Rating: 2 / 5
(…) Most people are probably wondering what it does better than a Palm or Visor. First, the mako has a rich 16 MB of memory. The only visor or palm, the party is, the Visor Pro All others have a moderate 8 MB. First, how many palms or Visor handheld, you know, the built-in keyboard? I certainly can not think of any. It is rather small so that it can not TouchType, but if you are angry graffiti, then this is the cure. It’s easy and you can still write about 3-5 times faster than the graffiti. Oh, man, what HRT be huge! But no. It can easily fit into any pocket or palm. What else? How about a word, spreadsheet and teacher. NE dass Palm or Visor has also, in contrast to the applications of palm leaf (which you must buy) do not have the ability to create diagrams of the table. The shape of the shortfin WoD prosesing makes sooo much easier than the palm. The wider screen than high Docs into much more natural. Not enough? Sreadsheet charts can transfer Word documents. Capibilitis How about online? Try OperaO web browser. When the limited terrible “web clippings” for Palm handhelds Luv ERKs is Opera’s ability to access virtually any site available. Still not enough? Software, you say? And the amazing selection of free software. (…) Rating: 5 / 5
I have my Diamond Mako Psion in January 2002 and are happy with the result again. Closed is the size of a glasses case. I wanted a handheld, word processing and spreadsheets and does. I use it, and read parts of my novel in progress write to my child during gym class. Psion’s operating system offers everything you need to offer a desktop computer, but not the case. Programmed I disable Mako, if I close it, and guess what? When you turn it again, a touch of the stylus will bring you back where they were when it goes out is all. I take the Mako and do something while I wait on my desktop to boot. Someone came with an old interface serial port, so do not use USB for the update. Not playing music or an expansion slot. Yes, indeed, no backlight for the monochrome screen and the screen is not the state of the art, but a tap the size you can enlarge the font on the screen to make it bigger and easier to read. The screen is wider than most PDAs, which increases readability. I move from word processing documents between the Mako and Microsoft Word 6 for Windows 95 and Word for Office 97 I sometimes have to reboot my desktop after moving files between desktop and Mako, but my Windows 98 system appears to be seeking excuses for shock. My Mako never fails. This week, during lunch, without the benefit of the manual, I learned to use the infrared port to exchange information, contacts with the new Palm MC505 a friend. Nine months of use and remains my favorite toy. Corporate Information Technology of the Gestapo in my work that I can try, you can interact with the Windows XP interface, so do not report to the XP compatibility. I have Windows XP at work in the Windows 98 desktop at home, suffering, and I see my man with the mysterious art of Linux. This small computer appears to be much easier than the big machines with their great effort and hardware intensive farming systems. If you think word processing and spreadsheets should use truly portable computer, which is trying to hand. Rating: 5 / 5
