This is a good summary of a number of useful free Web-based applications using Google. It is especially useful to alert a non-obvious features of the applications. Google Apps is an exciting development, not only because it is an open, common computing tasks, but because they allow a high degree of collaborative working. They are also comfortable for those of us that value (for simplicity in the calculation, I like the term "hyperlink Carnival used" on page 411, to describe the typical dot-com home page, Google faces simplicity). A book on Google Apps envelope is cumbersome because it is not a unique problem and should be addressed to several audiences. Overall, this book assumes the reader already familiar with the type of application discussed, and only needs to learn how to use the Google version. In particular, the presentation focuses on the individual functions and does not say much about workflow. Someone, for example, even though Google Spreadsheets is easy and is outlined here, I do not think you are not familiar with spreadsheets could be out of position, such as Google Spreadsheets section of this book verwenden.Der Doc About Google Docs (word processing, spreadsheets, slide shows) is relatively quickly through the editing features available. It goes into more detail on the collaboration capabilities (since documents are stored on the Internet, you can use all the others who can work together so that in Google), the processed version of history, and reconciliation of the line and offline. This section of the book begins funktioniert.Der good section of the communication (email, Talk, Calendar) is not really necessary at the start and never have. This also works well although a bit overwhelming for Gmail, because so many features emitters. The web design area is confusing, not least, because it combines two very different applications without saying what they are, or what is the difference. iGoogle, which has a very complex discussion, simply create your own page. Page Creator, but to create something that, in fact, a complete web publishing system, but you can not stay the end of the chapter (Google, you may have a limited number of web space and free broadband in googlepages. Com ). These two chapters are basically good, but need more detailed introduction to the final section orientieren.Der reader with Google Apps for Enterprise. Google offers a version of the company at the same applications used in the book. These are essentially the same as the single version, but they offer a means of change and adjustment throughout the company for control. This section of the book deals with the work of system administrators in managing everything. The book gives on p. 482, the rest of the book "is the techie types" are. It takes the reader and company management teams, and describes all the steps for Google Apps administrators. These chapters seem plausible to me, but I do not know enough about this type of operation to assess in depth.Average Rating: 4 / 5

If you have a Google applications is the book for you. I liked it so much I'm going to get another and give as gifts. While Google applications to change forever in this book gives 90% of what you need, and also includes information that I did not know. It's worth the price and is the only book that says it all. For example, I noticed that when you register a domain name with Google, which can be switched to GoDaddy. com is actually registering domain names for them. It is said that and how Evertything correct transmission. No more pressure from the help texts to find out how to do things.Rating: 5 / 5

Of course, Google Apps are not packaged in plastic wrappings, but it lacks a title different from David Pogue Manual. It is a title that only has to get the maximum use of new online Google Apps. Of course, if you do not find them yet - you need the Titel.Aber if you know you do not need to Microsoft hundreds of dollars for something freely online, you will be happy to pay when you check out to get this title. You get the best of Apps.Rating: 3 / 5

It is the missing manual by Nancy Conner a beautiful presented and well illustrated guide to Google Apps. I was very pleasantly surprised by the breadth and depth of content of the book.Rating: 5 / 5
