Product arrived in packaging that was obviously resealed. The vertical wood portion of the gate was skewed outward so that there was at least a 2 inch gap between the gate and the latch. I would not recommend buying this product or any other sold by this company.

this gate is very sturdy, and happened to match my wood floors and trim perfectly (a honey color) so it blended well into the decor. The gates were a little pricey I thought. I keep one on the doorway to my six year old’s room so that his little 1 year old bro cant get in there, so it is well used and stands up strongly. It was easy to install, and it stays in the door relatively well without the mounting cups. If it’s leaned on too much it sometimes shifts. They are supposed to shut by themselves, but I often put them back into place manually so that they don’t slam.

Have just got 1st one this morning and the gate latch does not meet the wooden part latch by 2 inches!! Very poorly made. Amazon shipping me another let hope this works as the gate its self looks very nice.

I love this baby gate! It is absolutely beautiful and works so well. Actually, we have been using this as a way to keep our dogs in the kitchen and still be able to exit in and out of the kitchen with ease. In fact, now that we have a baby on the way, we are going to buy a couple more to put in other key areas of our home. The only suggestion I have to other buyers of this product is if you want to be able to leave the door open sometimes so you can easily pass in an out and don’t have to remove it, and then use a bungee cord. You can attach the bungee to the swinging door and the base of the gate and it will keep the door open.

We bought 2 of these, for the top and bottom of the stairs. It was a wide opening, and these gates never worked. They kids could knock them down easily and they fell down all the time. I’ve only had them for 3 months, and they are both useless now. Already returned one and I’ taking the other back today.
